The European Academy of Optometry and Optics will be launched at the European Council of Optometry and Optics (ECOO) meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland in May 2009.

Within the programme for the ECOO 2009 Spring meeting, in addition to the formal launch of the European Academy of Optometry and Optics, there will be a symposium of 6 hours of European Academy Sessions. These will focus on Research and Education across optometry, optics and vision science.

What to include in the abstract?

• Name and job title/role of presenter
• Names and workplace of any co-authors
• Title of presentation
• Main body of the abstract (maximum of 350 words)
• Background
• Research question or hypothesis or aims and objectives
• Methods
• Results
• Conclusions/points of interest
• References, if applicable (maximum of six)
• Preferred method of presentation: oral or poster presentation
• Presenter’s contact details: postal address, email address and telephone number
