Next Academy Conference to be held in Dublin

The next meeting of the European Academy of Optometry and Optics will be held 20-22 April 2011 in Dublin, Ireland. 

The event will again incorporate the European Optometric Education Congress, and will be focused around the themes of eduction, research and clinical practice.

The event brings together key decision-makers, influencers, educators, researchers and students from across Europe to discuss and share the latest research and best-practice relating to optics, optometry and vision sciences.

The event appeals to delegates with a diverse range of clinical, research and educational interest and next year's event will again offer a wide range of learning opportunities:

  • leading researchers and academics will deliver a series of lectures focusing on some of the key areas of concern for the profession; 
  • clinical workshops will support the development of practical skills;
  • discussion forum sessions will explore major issues facing optometry and optics in more depth.
  • a series of poster presentations will explore a diverse range of research areas, providing excellent learning and networking opportunities;
  • Case study sessions will offer interactive discussions on issues of clinical practice and education

CPD/CET
Certificates of attendance will be awarded to all delegates and may be used as evidence in local continuing professional development schemes (CPD/CET).

PRIZES
Prizes for poster and oral presentations will be available, sponsored by the College of Optometrists, UK.  Details to be confirmed.
