European Academy registered as a Charity

The European Academy of Optometry and Optics has been registered as charity number 1134105 by the Charity Commission with effect from 5 February 2010.
The Charity Commission for English and Wales is established by law as the regulator and registrar of charities in England and Wales. It regulates charities in order to increase charities' efficiency and effectiveness and public confident and trust in them.
The European Academy will be required to send a copy of its accounts and annual report to the Charity Commission.
The secretariat of the European Academy is hosted by the College of Optometrists in London. The Academy was certified as a private limited company with Companies House on 11 March 2009.
