Binocular VisionMISSION: To support and stimulate both individuals and educational institiutions, to develop and maintain a high level of practice in Binocular Vision fields.

Community Eye and Vision Care ServicesMISSION: To help identify the barriers preventing some populations from access to refractive error services and to facilitate the development of an international database on refractive error.

Cornea, Contact Lenses and Refractive TechnologyMISSION: To support and promote a close co operation and exchange of experiences between research institutions, industry and practitioners in order to gather and discuss the latest developments in the fields of cornea, contact lenses and refractive technology.

Optometric EducationMISSION: To support education in optometry and optics by encouraging high standards of quality in teach and learning, for the benefit of staff, students and the public. 

Optometric Low Vision RehabilitationMISSION: To support and promote close co operation and exchange of experiences between research institutions, clinicians and industry in order to gather and discuss the latest developments in the fields of low vision rehabilitation. To encourage and support optometrists and appropriately trained dispensing opticians to add low vision rehabilitation to their practice, or to refer those who may benefit to colleagues specialized in this low vision rehabilitation.

Primary Eye CareMISSION: To initiate discussion on, and to reflect and promote the specialised fields of refraction, dispensing and visual optics including the diagnosis and treatment of minor eye diseases.
