Fellowship (FEAOO) - a Fellow is someone whom the Academy has recognised has having made a significant contribution to the practice of optometry or optics. This prestigous award is an acknowledgment of commitment to the profession, experience and accomplishments.

Annual conference - the Academy's annual conference has become the must-attend event in the optometry and optics calendar. It provides excellent learning, networking and social opportunities. A space for people to come together to discuss, debate and disseminate the latest research and innovations and make new friends and contacts. The event also includes poster presentations which explore a diverse range of research areas and offer delegates an opportunity to talk directly to the authors and gain valuable insight into their work.
Specialist Interest Group (SiGs) - Academy members have the opportunity to build both geographical and specialist interest links with other Academy members through special SiG forums on the Academy website. Current groups are: binocular vision, community eye health are, cornea, contact lens and refractive technologies, education and primary care (refraction and dispensing; diagnosis and treatment of minor eye diseases).
Online Access to Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics - the peer reviewed journal of the College of Optometrists, London. OPO is one of the most highly specialised optometric journals in the world and enjoys an international reputation with an impact factor of 1.097. The journal is indexed in Medline and the ISI Web of Science. OPO is published every two months and is accessible online allowing members to browse quickly, search and link directly to the information they need.
