    The European Academy of Optometry and Optics will be launched at the European Council of Optometry and Optics (ECOO) meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland in May 2009. Within the programme for the ECOO 2009 Spring meeting, in addition to the formal launch of the European Academy of Optometry and Optics, there will be a symposium of 6 hours of European Academy Sessions. These will focus on Research and Education across optometry, optics and vision science.
