Academy Programme

The European Academy of Optometry and Optics will hold its second annual conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, 15-16 May 2010.

The 2010 conference offers a combination of learning styles:

Workshops - to be held at the optometry department at TEC (Technical Education Copenhagen) - will support the development of practical skills, enabling you to gain valuable experience to help you in day-to-day situations and come away with essential skills to implement in practice.

Poster presentations - will explore a diverse range of research areas and provide you with the opportunity to talk directly with presenters and gain a valuable insight into their work.  This session will provide excellent networking and learning opportuities.

Lectures - leading academics will focus on some of the key areas of concern for the profession.  Keynote presentations will be delivered by Professor Bernard Gilmartin and Dr Barbara Ryan.

Round table discussion groups - access to these sessions is available exclusively to Academy members.  Members will benefit from the opportunity to explore the major issues facing optometry and optics in more depth.
